I aspire to become a resource in technology for educators and students. I would like to help teachers become more comfortable with using technology in the classroom, as well as push educators who have already started this journey in technology. I would like to observe, plan and reflect with teachers and students, as well as create additional development opportunities for motivated teachers.

Work experience
 

• Planned and implemented original lesson and unit plans, stressing the importance of learning by inquiry and investigation in the science classroom.
• Responsible for teaching three classes of 7th grade general science, as well as three classes of 8th grade Earth Science.
• Incorporated numerous summative and formative assessments within lessons that allowed students with different learning modalities to demonstrate their mastery of the material, and be responsive to student’s understanding.
• Attended regular professional development activities, which primarily focused on teaching with inquiry and differentiated instruction.
• Applied differentiated strategies, allowing for all students, regardless of their skill level, to have success in my classroom.
• Active member of the School Improvement Committee, where I was responsible for analyzing data and incorporating methods to better instructional practice.

• Initially taught an hour of 8th grade general science, and gradually picked up two additional teaching periods throughout the school year.
• Taught a 7th grade science classroom for a period of two months, working with a second mentor teacher and planning original lesson plans.
• Observed and taught in a general science course, focusing on topics of ecology, chemistry and physics.
• Attended regular professional development activities, which primarily focused on teaching with inquiry and differentiated instruction.

• Attended and participated in staff meetings twice a month, often volunteering for group activities and presentations.
